What is Work Examiner?

Work Examiner is an employee monitoring software that tracks computer and online activity of employees during work hours. Work Examiner is a client-server application that consists of three modules: Work Examiner Client, or the monitoring software installed on the user PC and collects the information, the Work Examiner Server, which will be the hardware that receives the data, and the Work Examiner Console, which can be installed on the WE server or in any admin PC, and does the actual remote monitoring. Work Examiner Console displays real-time views of user activities on their PCs. This includes screenshots of running applications, websites visited, and active/away status of their desktop. Controls such as web filter, web usage timer, and application launch control help regulate what can and cannot be run by users, as well as limiting the time used for web access. Work Examiner alerts admins if a user accesses a restricted site or directory, exceeds web access time, or tried to open a forbidden application.

Work Examiner Benefits

Benefits

The main benefits of Work Examiner are its comprehensive activity monitoring, web filtering, and usage monitoring, communication security, and complete reporting. Here are the benefits in more detail:

Comprehensive activity monitoring

Work Examiner lets you monitor all activities performed in work PCs during office hours. This includes which applications are running, which websites were visited, and which times were the PC was on active or inactive status. This also includes recording all keystrokes made on the PC during the workday.

Web filtering and usage monitoring

Not only can Work Examiner monitor web activity, but it can also filter usage and time spent. Access controls in an employee monitoring software let you specify which websites can or cannot be visited, and you can even limit the time spent surfing.

Communication security

Plugging leaks in communication entails checking the common routes where information can be sent. Work Examiner can monitor emails and report all incoming and outgoing activity from all email servers in the workplace. This includes saving details for each email: time spent, from, recipient, subject and even attached files. Instant messaging can be similarly monitored and recorded.

Complete reporting

Work Examiner collates all data gathered from client PCs and provides interactive reports detailing every single activity made by employees on their PCs. Reports can be exported to PDF, XLS, and other popular formats.
