What is Stride ?
Stride, now Slack, is a cloud-hosted chat and messaging software. It is a redesigned solution formerly called HipChat from Atlassian, a software company that also acquired Confluence, Trello, Jira, and Bitbucket. This rebranded solution is created as a team communication tool that delivers the best HipChat elements, strengthened with more smart functionalities and locally hosted video and audio tools. Stride is placed by the vendor as a direct competitor and an alternative to the highly popular Slack. Besides the typical chat and messaging functionalities, the software is also equipped with new features that are also available in competitors. The new addition, the ‘Action and Decisions’ feature, allows users to separate and assign task as to-do messages with completed, posted actions to give awareness to members in the chat room. Important decisions can also be isolated from conversations and save them for future reference.Product Quality Score

The free plan offers your team a great solution for your communication needs whatever your intentions and purposes. Although free, your team can enjoy the features that come with it, including unlimited users, direct messaging, voice conferencing, group video, and group chat rooms.
